History[]

One of the first 13 Gladiator Mk 1s ordered by Latvia in May 1937, this aircraft was, along with the rest of the batch, officially assigned to the 123 Eskadrille in April 1938. Later marked with the fin badge of 124 Eskadrille, It was among the examples captured during the soviet annexation of Latvia.

It is unknown if this example was among the 13 captured during the German attack of the Soviet Union, which were subsequently operated as glider tugs by Erganzungsgruppe (S) 1, before being removed from the Luftwaffe inventory on 16 March 1943.[1]
