History[]
Built as c/n 13205, 21506 was originally operated by the Argentine Army as AE-409.
Captured in the Falkland Islands during the 1982 war,[2] it was used to transport men and supplies, being serviced by Army Air Corps using spares which were also captured, which proved a great help, as there was a shortage of helicopters at the time.[1] Brought to the UK after the conflict, 72-21506 was noted on display in the Museum of Army Flying, Middle Wallop Airfield, England during January 2002.[2]
