The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engined heavy bomber developed for use by the U.S. Military in World War II. It was one of the most heavily used bombers by the allied forces against the Nazis, and was most widely used for daylight strategic bombing of German industrial targets during World War II. Few examples of the aircraft remain in flying condition, mostly for display purposes.

Captured examples used by the Luftwaffe were known by the cover designation Dornier Do 200.
