History
Tested by TAIU-SWPA at Clark Field, Philippines, 1945 as Aircraft No. S22, it differed from the more well-known Ki-45 S14 by having two upward firing cannon behind the pilot seat. As S22 was seen as transported to the USA, it is likely to be one of the two Ki-45 that was later tested in the USA (FE-325 or FE-701), as both had the upward firing cannon too. As the sole remaining Ki-45 airframe, that of FE-701, is not known to have been at Clark Field FE-325 is the most likely candidate.
