No. 1426 (Enemy Aircraft) Flight acquired their Henschel Hs 129B W.Nr. 0297 in July 1942 from North Africa. It had flown with I/SG2 of the Luftwaffe. It took over twelve months to bring this aircraft up to flying standard as NF756. It was flown again at Collyweston on 13 May 1944. After the disbandment of No 1426 Flight NF756 was transferred to the Central Fighter Establishment at RAF Tangmere, and thence to storage with No 6 Maintenance Unit at RAF Brize Norton. It was struck off charge as scrap in August 1947.[2]
