Built by Arado at Warnemünde,^[1] and flown by Oblt Arnim Faber, Werk Nr 135313 landed in error in South Wales, when Faber mistook the shoreline of the Bristol Channel for the north coast of France.^{[N 1]}

Given a British serial, it was the first Fw 190 to fall into Allied hands, and after its capture, it was taken by road to Farnborough and flown extensively in comparative trials with Allied fighters. It was struck off charge in September 1943.^[2]
