History[edit | edit source]

Built by Focke-Wulf at Sorau,[1] this aircraft was collected by the RAF, transferred to the USAAF, and shipped to America on HMS Reaper where it was flown from Newark to Freeman Field, Indiana, where it was painted as "Yellow 4". As of February 2015, it is stored at the National Air and Space Museum Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration, and Storage Facility in Suitland, Maryland, where it is awaiting restoration.[2]
