The 14th Drache (Dragon) transport helicopter, Werk Nr 22300014 was captured at Ainring, Germany, and designated Air Min 233.[1] Flown by a German crew across the English Channel, from Germany to the Airborne Forces Experimental Establishment at Beaulieu - the first helicopter to make the crossing - in 1945,[2] and subsequently serialled VN479, the helicopter crashed at Beaulieu on 4 Oct 1945.[1]
